The Colt-S is a truly fun-to-fly trainer. Its advanced design is nimble, responsive, and stable with solid control forces throughout its entire flight envelope making it everything you want in new-generation trainer. And thanks to its exceptional in slow-flight characteristics, approaches and landings are as easy as they are fun.

It is the first S-LSA with an all aviation-grade aluminum airframe, solid metal rivets, and a welded Chromoly passenger safety cell.

So it’s built to withstand what student pilots dish out. In fact, during its development, the Colt’s all-metal fuselage and wings were statically tested to stresses that exceeded those required by the ASTM S-LSA standards. When you add the fact that all the Colt’s aluminum components are treated with anti-corrosive, you get a new-generation trainer that will last for decades.

AERONAUTICAL CONSTRUCTION STANDARD

The Colt is manufactured to the strictest aeronautical standards. The fairing is built in ALCLAD 2024 aeronautical aluminum with solid rivets, ensuring great torsional rigidity and low weight. The survival cell is made of chrome-molybdenum steel, like the one used in racing cars, providing maximum safety for the occupants. The semi-cantilever wings provide great strength and low weight. The engine fairing, wing tips, gaiters and doors are made from carbon fiber for a better finish and aerodynamics.

All electrical cables and connectors used on the Colt follow aeronautical standards.
